AI Comparison iPhone App Development: Manus.ai

With the same question asked in my previous post, the latest Manus.ai ( unclear which version it is), has take this question to another level!

Although it did take a bit longer for Manus to finish all 7 steps below:

1. Research and plan app architecture

2. Design user interface and user experience

3. Implement core iOS application

4. Integrate food recognition and nutrition analysis

5. Build tracking and recommendation system

6. Test and document the application

7. Deliver final application and documentation

In the end, it claimed to have created a ready-to-launch app—packaged into a single ZIP file complete with screenshots for download.

One standout feature, which I haven’t tested yet, is the “Add Knowledge” option. This allows users to feed in their preferences and best practices—a way to “train” and personalize the AI’s output. It’s a feature missing from other AI chatbots like OpenAI and Claude.ai.

Interestingly, once the process was complete, Manus also offered to create and deploy a web application—but only with a paid subscription. When I asked about the subscription details and pricing, however, it couldn’t provide specifics.
